South African photojournalist Alexia
Webster has documented the stories of refugees and displaced peoples throughout
Africa. After one man said he felt exploited,,
Alexia decided to turn her job on
its head - by setting up makeshift studios on camp sites and printing out
images to give to her subjects. Alexia talks about her first 'Refugee Street
Studio' project in the Bulengo Internally Displaced Persons camp outside Goma
in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was financed by the Prince Claus Fund
which supports artists' work in conflict zones.....
